Brunch in Bali

Uncategorized October 19, 2015

Just got back to the States yesterday and I have some serious jet lag! So here I am in the middle of the night editing photos and catching up on my blog. I’m excited to share some of our fun experiences, and here is one of my favorites (because my favorites generally revolve around food): brunch in Bali!

If you travel to Bali I definitely recommend visiting the Nusa Dua area. It’s the best spot for relaxing and a serious foodie destination. Among the many delicious spots to eat is one of the world’s top ten brunches. It’s Sofitel’s weekend brunch and it is amazing, guys. I always though Vegas had the best buffets in the world, but boy was I was mistaken.

Although it’s a buffet, there is an added a la carte menu that you can order from whenever you want, and unlimited cocktails (or in my case, mocktails). You can even get a Crepes Suzette cooked up right at your table as well as flag down the macaron lady. Hubby’s favorite part was the meat station: choose your meat and they cook it up fresh and deliver it to your table. I am not the biggest meat eater but their beef wellington was sooo good. My favorite part was of course the dessert section! It is extensive and has just about anything you could ever want: all the French pastries I could ever desire, a marshmallow-toasting station, make-your-own flavored popcorn station, chocolate fondue, etc. etc.

These were just a few of our favorite items so you get an idea of their delicious menu:

From the a la carte menu: the scallops and the cardamom creme brulee.

All the mocktails. All of them.

From the meat grill: Beef Wellington.

From the desserts: mango cheesecake.

At the bread station: the babka! Nom.

So thank you, Sofitel, for hosting us and for the best brunch of my life 😉

The pastries look so delicious! And the sliders with the salmon are too good to be true. It looks like Dylan's Candy Bar but with pastries and desserts!
