The Ultimate Gift

I’m really excited about this collab today. I was ecstatic to get a chance to use this product, and I honestly think it would be the ultimate gift for a lot of the people on your Christmas list–both girls and guys. But first, let me tell you my story:

So I am half Asian and I seriously feel like my body is a perfect reflection of that. My torso is very petite and my skin there generally takes after my mom, but my bottom half…is the exact opposite. The skin is completely different, taking after my dad, and my legs are very bulky. Hair-wise…I inherited the dark Asian hair, but unfortunately not the hairless genes. And here is where things will get a bit TMI: my hair is generally pretty thick but especially in certain areas, namely my armpits. Whenever I would shave there, it would feel smooth but you could see the hair underneath the skin. Essentially it looked like I had a five o’clock shadow and I was so embarrassed by it. Back in high school cap sleeves were popular, but when I wore them I would take great care not to raise my arms all day because you could see my “hairy” (looking) armpits. I also avoided going swimming at all costs.

I continued like that for probably a decade, until I was almost done with college. It was getting to summertime and I suddenly really dreaded the whole it’s-hot-but-the-sleeves-on-this-shirt-are-too-short-and-I’m-afraid-people-will-see-my-armpits thing, as well as the situations where I could either decline a hot tubbing or boating excursion or just feel really insecure the whole time. Despite being a poor student going to school full-time and working two part-time jobs, I decided to get laser! And all my Dave Ramsey-esque ingrained financial beliefs aside, I don’t regret it. Not one bit. My confidence went up and my worries disappeared.

So that is my story! I think that was back in 2010. Since then, they’ve come out with a waaaay more affordable and easy way to do what I did: introducing Flash&Go. It uses light technology to permanently remove hair, and works on even the most sensitive of skin. And it works best on people with light skin and dark hair; unfortunately if you have extremely dark skin the light won’t be able to distinguish between your skin and hair, sorry! It’s the same with laser, and fortunately I’m just the right specimen. So far I’ve been having a great experience with the Flash&Go, it’s really easy to use.* You can check out all the FAQs and info here. One of the best things about Flash&Go is the price for sure. A couple years back I saw a similar product with stellar reviews for $500 and thought that was amazing. They keep getting more affordable though, and Flash&Go is only $200! Plus it’s bulb is built to last around 5000 pulses, which is enough for 6-8 full-body treatments, whereas I paid more than 10x that for only one area.

On top of the already awesome price, if you purchase Flash&Go at either Bed, Bath and Beyond or Kohl’s then you can enter a photo of your receipt at www.keepongifting.com to get back $75 to either store (you get a $25 gift card but it can be used 3 times) as well as be entered to win a trip to Aruba. Pretty cool. It’s like the gift that keeps on giving, I would definitely take advantage of this!

It’s honestly the ultimate gift for the ultimate price. Who on your list do you think it would be perfect for? Or do you want it for yourself?

*I’ve only gotten to try it once so far (you use it every 2 weeks at first, then once a month after that), so I can’t write a full review, but you can check in with me in a few months if you want to!

I will definitely do my best! I have no doubts about it though, it just seems like at-home laser, the laser I paid thousands of dollars for didn't seem much different than this?

Seriously, check in with me in a few months! I really can't find any differences between this and in=spa laser treatments, and when I got laser…after the first few times I had no hair for most of the time between treatments
