Travel Prep

Uncategorized March 4, 2015

I’m in the airport on my way to Thailand right now, so today I thought I would share two ways I’ve been prepping for the trip:

Step One: Photo-Ready Smile

Sadly, the teeth gods did not see fit to bless me like they did my hubby; good teeth don’t exactly run in my family. That means I have to work extra hard to make do with the lot I’ve been given. I’ve been a total whitening junkie for the last couple of years, so I was excited hearing about Colgate®‘s Optic White® Express. It has twice the hydrogen peroxide*, which is the pro-recommended whitening ingredient, and can make your teeth whiter in 3 days*.
So I grabbed it from Walmart, tried it out, and took before and after photos to show you guys the results. This is after 3 days of brushing 3 times per day (you’ll have to zoom). I don’t know if you’ll be able to see it in the pictures, but I feel like I see a difference. It’s not only maintaining what whiteness I’ve managed to create for myself, but making it brighter while all I have to do is…what I’ve been doing: brushing my teeth. Haha, it doesn’t get much easier than this. I’ll also try to post an update picture after using it for a couple of weeks.

*For best results, use as directed for 4 weeks and **Vs Optic White® Sparkling Mint®.

Step Two: Travel Essentials

I’m not talking beachwear and such, I’m talking for the airplane ride! Ugh. The worst trip I’ve ever endured was when I was in high school going from Upstate NY to Korea. Forty-five minute drive to the airport, connecting flight to JFK, flight to LAX, then Narita, then Incheon. All in economy. Not fun. I have no idea how long it took for us to finally get there but it was like I hadn’t slept in 48 hours. This trip to Thailand is pretty much the same! It will be a bit of a B-word, so here are a few essentials that I’ve prepped to soften the experience:

-My handy travel-size Colgate® Optic White® Express. Having a dirty mouth only makes me feel worse while traveling. A quick brush on a layover is a good pick-me-up.

-Socks: Because I seem to go from hot to freezing and then back with every connecting flight…

-A great book: Dale Carnegie’s are classics.

-Headphones: Because airplane ones are a last resort.

-Face wipes: Again. Maintain your hygiene in any way possible.

-Travel-size perfume. Although I’m not a fan of masking…desperate times call for desperate measures…

Please tell me your own suggestions/recommendations! I’m already on my way, but if nothing else I can grab stuff at the airport.
