You guys, life is so busy! The amount of cooking/baking time I’ve had over the years has dwindled, for sure. Especially this summer, though, I’ve been on the road nonstop. Every week for about 3 months I’ve been traveling, and I am tirrrred. Lately, I’ve been going back and forth between Utah, Vegas, and San Francisco. Today I’m writing this from my San Francisco hotel room after running to the nearest grocery store to grab toothpaste and face wash because I didn’t even know I’d be in this city today! Needless to say, it’s been crazy. What have all your summers been like??
I know we are all crazy busy, so I really enjoyed today’s collaboration with Jus-Rol. So Jus-Rol offers refrigerated doughs like pizza dough, pie dough, flatbread dough, puff pastry, etc. I have often bought other brands of all of these, but the biggest and best pro about Jus Rol is that it’s literally ready to pop into the oven as-is. When I buy pre-made pizza dough, for example, I have to roll it out and stretch it for my pizza. Jus-Rol’s pizza dough is already rolled and is on parchment paper that is meant to be popped right into the oven. So no extra steps.
So far, I’ve already used both of their pizza doughs (round thin crust and family-size) and their pie dough and it is so quick and easy, I love it so much. Being as busy as I have been lately, it is something that I’m excited to keep on hand. If I needed to whip up the quickest dinner ever, I could have a big pizza done in 20 minutes. I think that’s pretty awesome.
I also attended a virtual event with them recently. The presenter literally made ham and cheese pinwheels (with the puff pastry dough), a fresh pizza with prosciutto, mozzarella, etc., and an entire berry pie all in the course of only one hour. I was so impressed. There are so many amazing appetizers, entrees, and desserts you can make with these.
I decided to make a lemon pie with strawberry meringue. It turned out so yummy! I think all of my meringues will need to be fruit flavored from now on. I normally make my own pie crusts but cutting out that step was so nice and turned out delicious.
A little more about Jus-Rol: they are made in the USA with the highest-quality ingredients. They’re Non-GMO with no artificial flavors/colors, high fructose corn syrup, or bleached flour. And they’re all vegetarian.
So, yeah, I’m a new fan, for sure. You can find them in the refrigerated dairy case at the grocery store! Check out www.jusrol.com for recipes and store locator.
