Sparkling Flavored Lemonade Bar

Uncategorized August 7, 2015

So recently I was in Vegas visiting family. Unofficial tradition is that my Momma always cooks up a yummy Korean meal when someone visits, and this time was extra special because my hubs, who’s been gone for the last month or so, got to fly out and join us that weekend. Family get-togethers are so rare these days so it was real nice. My parents have an awesome pool in their backyard that I love to just sit at and dip my feet (when it’s not 1000 degrees). So after our big Korean dinner I put together this sparkling lemonade bar idea, perfect for a pool party or winding down with dinner guests.

I almost always use sparkling water for my lemonades, so this time I elevated it using Izze’s new flavored sparkling waters. They are organic, only 10 calories each, and delish. For the lemonade bar, all you do is make a lemonade base (recipe below), put out some ice, Izze sparkling waters, and whatever add-ins you want (berries, watermelon cubes, lemon or lime slices, etc.). That way people can create their own unique flavored lemonades. I did a lime-mint version with Izze mandarin lime sparkling water, a slice of lime and a sprig of mint. So yummy. Sparkling Flavored Lemonade Bar
Serves 6-8

  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 12 medium lemons)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Izze sparkling waters
  • ice
  • favorite add-ons (mint, lime slices, berries, etc.)

Directions:

To make lemonade base, mix together hot water and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Let cool to room temperature. Combine with lemon juice and pour into a serving pitcher.

Assemble your lemonade bar with the lemonade base, Izze sparkling waters, ice, and your favorite add-in ingredients.

To make: combine 2 parts sparkling water with 1 part lemonade (or as desired), add ice and favorite add-ons, and enjoy!

Lime-Mint Lemonade: Combine Izze mandarin-lime sparkling water, ice, one slice of lime and a mint leaf.

10 calories each? That's incredible! I love the bottle's presentation and they would certainly be a nice equivalent to alcohol to see more often at summer events.. I've always loved lemonade! 🙂

    ps. your photos are beautiful!
